Being up and active is a great way to be able to lose weight, maintain a healthy weight and generally increase your health overall.  The problem is, if you sit at a desk or a computer all day, you won’t be able to get up and be active.  While you can’t really change the fact that you are sitting all day (unless you change jobs which isn’t always an option) you can instead change what you are sitting on, in order to at least get some sort of a workout when you are sitting all day.  This is where a yoga ball chair can become helpful.

Yoga balance balls are a piece of equipment used to intensify workouts, and add another dimension to your exercises in order to increase the strength of your core muscles.  Many different exercises can be done, with or without weights.  Yoga chair balls incorporate these balance balls in chair form, allowing you to get the same core strength building benefits.

There are two different types of yoga ball chairs, one with wheels and one without.  If you use a chair at work that has wheels, especially if you are needing to roll around your office to get various things from different parts of your desk(s), then you will definitely want to look into a yoga ball chair with wheels on the bottom.  They give you the added mobility, while still giving you the benefits of having the yoga ball on the top side.

The oher type of yoga ball chair isn’t a specific chair, it’s just a yoga ball that you use as a chair.  This helps to keep the cost down by over 50% to 75% less than an actual chair with wheels.  But, the downside of just using a yoga balance ball is that it is harder to move around.  If you’re only sitting at your desk and not moving around too much, this may be the best option for you.
